MODERN LINES DRAWN FROM TRADITIONAL CRAFT
In 2009, the love of making furniture brought me to Brooklyn. That and an incredible woman who eventually married me. We now have a daughter that even loves to tinker in the studio. More than a few tufts of grey hair and three progressively bigger shops in eight short years, we present to you our product and process. Analog Modern is a multidisciplinary studio primarily working in furniture. Our clients have included Google, Etsy, Gensler, Helmut Lang, Theory, Miansai, Illesteva, Calvin Klein, MGM Grand, and a slew of nice New Yorkers. We strive to use a palette of hardwoods local to the Northeast and default to no-VOC hand-applied finishes. A number of our products have gone through a transparency audit and now have Declare labels from the Living Futures Institute (similar to LEED, but far more stringent). We hold down shop in the rapidly changing, mural snapshot mecca that is Bushwick. 5000 square feet of well equipped studio provides us the ability to turn out one-off commissions, small-run production work, 77 pieces for Etsy's new headquarters, and an entire retail space worth of furniture for Miansai that we shipped to Los Angeles.
